Our goal is to promote Minnesota authors and writing. Gathering authors and writers together for a celebration of books and reading gives the public a chance to meet the authors and visit with them personally.

Authors will have a chance to show their work and interact with their peers. Programs and presentations will be featured both days. It is our hope that old and young will be inspired and enriched by this event.

Mankato, the childhood home of author Maud Hart Lovelace, is a perfect setting for an author event such as this. The festival event will raise awareness and funds for the on-going restoration work of Maud Hart Lovelace's childhood home in Mankato.
