Barb Geiger
Barb Geiger is the Pencraft award-winning author of Paddle for a Purpose, the story of a five-month service trip down the Mississippi River with her husband, Gene, in the tandem wooden kayak they built.
Barb spent her youth in Rochester, MN and Green Bay, WI, where she developed a love of biking, boating, and all things outdoors. Retirement from her 33-year elementary teaching career has given Barb time to find new adventures, volunteer in her community, and pursue her dream of writing. She lives in Waukesha, WI, with Gene and their 8-year-old chinchilla, Raji.
