Hidden Timber Books is a tiny independent press that promotes literary citizenship, inclusion, and diversity. We publish books by authors whose work traditionally has been overlooked or dismissed but whose stories inspire conversations around social, historical, cultural and philosophical context. We foster emerging authors with learning opportunities and mentorship. We cultivate a strong literary community through collaborations with other publishers and leaders in literary circles. Our most recent publication, Bone Broth by Lyndsey Ellis, is the 2022 winner of the Friends of American Writers Literature Award.
